It looks like Oliver is going to ask Felicity out on a date in the Season 3 premiere. Even though Ollie’s declaration of love for Felicity was just a ruse and they had a talk about their feelings and seemingly straightened everything out, that isn’t going to be the end of it. What is the status of Olicity? Alive and well, to the delight of shippers everywhere. Where is the Canary? She left with the League of Assassins, but just like Frosty the Snowman, she promised she’d be back again someday. In fact, I heard he’s getting his own show … So that’s good.ĭid that Barry Allen fellow ever come out of his coma? Nope, not before the end of the season. His desire to help Team Arrow cost him Thea, but may have gained him a new heroic identity as Arsenal in Season 3. Is Roy Harper alright? Yes! Though trapped under the spell of mirakuru for a big chunk of Season 2, Roy was the guinea pig for the mirakuru cure, which turned out to work just fine.
Thea left during the finale with her biological father, Malcolm Merlyn, and probably spent the time in-between seasons getting a crash course in how to be evil.
Ra’s al Ghul, come on down! Already established in the Arrow continuity as the leader of the League of Assassins, we’re supposed to see him for the first time in the fourth episode, though Team Arrow may not officially make his acquaintance until the winter break.ĭoes poor Ollie have any family left? Sadly, not so much. Wait, then who’s going to be the “Big Bad” in Season 3? Mr. Rumor has it that we shouldn’t expect to see him much, if at all, in Season 3. He’s locked up tight under the watchful eye of A.R.G.U.S. What happened to Slade? Team Arrow managed to stop Deathstroke without killing him, proving that Oliver’s journey from vigilante to hero is complete. In fact, as everything in the present was wrapped up pretty nicely, that served as the main cliffhanger for the summer. But the flashbacks are going to keep coming, as the very end of the Season 2 finale revealed that Ollie spent some time in Hong Kong, possibly working for Waller against his will. Or maybe not.Īre the flashbacks over? I’m happy to report that we have finally made it off the island after two seasons. How will Ollie make a living? This might be a hint. It doesn’t appear Ollie will be getting the company back, as Brandon Routh is set to appear this season as Ray Palmer, the new owner.
The family company, Queen Consolidated, was stolen from him by Isabel Rochev, who ended up being a spy for Slade (and also the TV version of Ravager, essentially). Is Oliver Queen still filthy rich? Signs point to no, as the Magic 8-Ball would say. It’s definitely going to need new leadership, since Mayor Sebastian Blood was killed, and his competition when he ran for office Moira Queen, is also deceased. How is Starling City? Still standing, which is good.
Season 1 recap and answer a series of hypothetical questions you might have about different characters. For more details, I’m going to shamelessly borrow the format my colleague Christina Roberts used for her Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Suffice it to say that with help from his friends and an unexpected assist from the League of Assassins, Oliver Queen did not fail his city. That would have made for a pretty depressing season, and probably series finale.
